Lee-on-the-Solent is a seaside community on the Hampshire coast, five miles west of Portsmouth across the Solent. Originally developed as a Victorian resort in the 1880s, it grew around its seafront promenade, the Royal Naval Air Station HMS Daedalus, and the iconic Lee Tower. Today it is home to the world's largest hovercraft collection, an active sailing club, and a High Street of independent shops and cafes.
