Alver Valley Country Park
Park, Lee-on-the-Solent
A 75-acre country park on the northern edge of Gosport, roughly two miles from Lee-on-the-Solent seafront. The park was created from former MOD land and incorporates lakes, wildflower meadows, woodland, and walking trails. It provides a green corridor connecting the built-up areas of Gosport with more open countryside toward Fareham. The lakes attract kingfishers, herons, and dragonflies. Waymarked paths are suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs on the main routes. A cafe operates near the main entrance. The park is well used by dog walkers and runners, and hosts occasional community events. Free parking is available at the Grange Road entrance. A good option when the seafront wind is too strong for comfort.
